Last weekend, after our traditionnal sunday dinner between friends, we played a game of "Scene It", I don't know if you know that game, it's a game of trivia where you watch a movie scene and have to guess the name of the movie, or the actor, or what's gonna happen next etc... A memorable game, where the guys reacted immediately to films like "the big Lebowsky" or "the godfather", and where I beat a record recognizing "the bodyguard" in less than 2 seconds. However, there were also many movies we didn't know anything about!
Anyway, after that very fun game, we had the following idea: from now on, every sunday, before or after our traditionnal dinner, we'll watch one of the movies from the AFI list (American Film Institute), called AFI's 100 years... 100 movies. It's made every 10 years by the institute, and lists the 100 best american movies of the last 100 years. It includes movies like "gone with the wind", "the godfather", "toy story", "lawrence of Arabia", "Schindler's list", "the wizard of Oz" etc... (you can find the list HERE). This way we'll be able to widen of movie culture, and with real good movies! I'm looking forward to it, because honestly, when you look at the list, there are real master pieces! Very promising!!
